Ghost tours
Olde Town Ghost Walk
Ghost Tours of Newport
Lantern-led, and calls itself Newport's original walking ghost tour. Runs rain or shine, cancelling only for lightning or downpours. Neither price nor times are published on the operator's site; its booking system lists public walks from $12-20 and private groups of up to twenty from $350, without saying which walk the lower figure belongs to.
Newport Ghost Tour
US Ghost Adventures
One hour, one mile, nightly at 8pm, $26 for adults and $17 for children. The only Newport tour that publishes a start time. The operator sells it as "Newport Ghosts: Seaside Hauntings and Hags Tour", so listings under either name mean the same walk. ID at the door, no printed ticket needed.
Haunted stays
The Jailhouse Inn
The best-documented building on this list. The hotel states plainly that it is an adaptation of Newport's actual jail and police station, built in 1772. It makes no ghost claims at all — the history alone does the work.

The Haunted Almanac
We check all 50 New England haunted attractions against their own websites, every week. 26 have published 2026 dates so far. Last sweep: October 8.
The ones that matter never announce. Spooky World published twenty-three nights and put them nowhere but its ticket widget; Scary Acres rebuilt its whole site in nine days without a word. We find those and send them to you. Free, and one click gets you out.
