Barrett's Haunted Mansion, Abington: Open for Its 35th Season, With Dates That Disagree
Barrett's is confirmed open and has published its prices — but its own website gives two different dates for each special event, and two different prices for the same upgrade.

Barrett's is in its 35th season, both attractions rebuilt, and it is one of the few Massachusetts haunts that has confirmed outright that it is opening.
It is also the venue whose own website disagrees with itself twice, which is worth walking through carefully before you buy anything.
What is confirmed
Their FAQ states plainly that both attractions are open for 2026 and that both have been changed, rebuilt and added to for the 35th season.
The open-air second attraction is called Burial Hill Motel this year. Its history is a useful lesson in why roundups go stale — it opened as The Cell, became The Sanctuary, then Condemned, then Outpost 34 in 2025. Any page telling you to visit Outpost 34 is a year out of date on its face.

The two contradictions
The R.I.P. price does not match itself. The tickets page lists $65 at the window and $68.50 online. The FAQ says $60 on the website. Both pages are live. Ask at purchase.
The special-event dates do not match either. Mayhem at the Mansion appears as "Tuesday October 20" on the tickets page and "Tuesday, October 21st" further down the same site. Devil's Night appears as October 27 in one place and the 28th in another.
In 2026, October 20 and 27 are the Tuesdays. The 21st and 28th are Wednesdays. So the Tuesday-matching dates are almost certainly the intended ones — but these are 18+ events with limited tickets and a signed waiver, and "almost certainly" is not a booking. Call 781-871-4573.

What is not published
The main operating calendar. The homepage and ticket page both say 2026 information and tickets are coming soon. Prices are set; nights are not.
Practical notes
Tickets are date-specific and must be used that night. No carrying a ticket to another evening, and none from a previous season.
The second attraction is open-air and closes in heavy rain while the main mansion keeps running. Refunds are not given for weather closures or for the second attraction being down.
Lights-On tours are the underrated option. Sundays in October, 1 to 4pm, $20 — the sets with the lights up and no actors. If you have someone in the group who wants to see the work without being frightened, this is the answer, and almost nobody writes about it.
Where this sits
Barrett's is the most substantial confirmed haunt in Massachusetts, in a state where Ghoulie Manor has closed and Factory of Terror has become a cinema.
