Spooky World, Litchfield: The Name Changed and the Website Didn't
New England's largest haunted attraction trades as Spooky World now, not Nightmare New England — and when we checked, its site was still advertising last season.

Spooky World in Litchfield calls itself New England's largest haunted attraction, and on scale it has a fair claim — a hayride, multiple walk-through haunts, a midway and a pre-scare area, all on one site five minutes from Manchester.
It is also the clearest example on this site of the two ways a haunted attraction quietly desynchronises from the internet.
The name
It trades as Spooky World. The Nightmare New England name and web address still route to it.
Plenty of roundups list Spooky World and Nightmare New England as two separate attractions, sending readers to a place that no longer exists under one of the names. If you see a list doing that, it has not been checked recently — which tells you what to make of the dates on the rest of it.
Your sprint-plan instinct was right about this one: the venues in this category change names between seasons, and the listings do not follow.
The season
When we checked, the site's own banner still read "FINAL NIGHTS OF 2025", with a reference to an October Sunday from last season.
That is not a closure. It is a seasonal business with a website nobody has touched since November, which is entirely normal and entirely unhelpful if you are trying to plan. No 2026 season could be verified, so we have recorded none and this page carries no calendar markup.
Given the scale of the operation and its history, it is very likely returning. Likely is not a date.
What is confirmed

Group discounts have historically been available for parties of twenty or more, which is worth asking about if you are organising one — though Fright Kingdom has dropped its group rate entirely this year, so do not assume.
What to do
Watch their social channels rather than the website. For seasonal operators, that is almost always where the announcement lands first, and it is why a site can sit on last year's banner into August without anyone noticing.
