Which New England corn mazes are open now?

Collins Farm in Bath, New Hampshire opened on July 31 and runs to October 31. It is the only corn maze in the region we found already open. Sauchuk Farm in Plympton, Massachusetts has published a season starting September 19.

How much does a New England corn maze cost?

Roughly $10 to $18 a head. Sherman Farm's published 2026 rate is $15 per person, rising to $18 on the peak October weekends, with age 2 and under free. That compares with $40-plus at the region's large haunted houses, which is why a corn maze is the value option for a family.

When do corn mazes open in New England?

Most open in September and run through late October, with the peak in the first three weeks of October when foliage traffic and Halloween demand overlap. Collins Farm in New Hampshire is unusual in opening at the end of July.

Are corn mazes scary?

Daytime corn mazes are a farm activity, not a scare attraction. The frightening versions are separate after-dark events — Collins Farm runs a Flashlight Maze and a Haunted Flashlight Maze in October, which are an entirely different proposition from the same maze in daylight.

Which corn maze is best for young children?

Collins Farm has three difficulty levels so you can pick a short route, flat level trails and all-ages admission. Mike's Maze in Sunderland is built around games and activities aimed at small children. Both are daytime propositions.

Corn Mazes in New England 2026: Dates and Prices

Every New England corn maze we could verify at source — six now have full 2026 seasons with dates and prices, and two still have not set a calendar.

Corn mazes are the sane end of New England's autumn. Ten to eighteen dollars instead of forty-plus, daylight instead of darkness, a farm stand at the end, and nobody chasing anybody.

They are also, like everything else in this category, badly documented — small farms with better things to do in August than update a website. So here is what is actually confirmed, checked against the farms themselves.

The ones with published seasons

Collins Farm, Bath NH — open now. A published season of July 31 to October 31, thirteen acres, three difficulty levels, flat level trails, all ages, leashed dogs welcome. One of the first attractions of any kind in the region to publish a full 2026 calendar — the announcement tracker carries the current count.

After dark in October the same farm runs a Flashlight Maze and a separate Haunted Flashlight Maze. Same corn, entirely different evening. Go in daylight with children.

Great Vermont Corn Maze, Danville VT — open now. Vermont's largest, 24 acres with bridges and an underground tunnel, running July 25 to Columbus Day, October 12. Closed Tuesdays in September and October, and walk-ups must arrive before noon.

Mike's Maze, Sunderland MA — September 11 to November 1, $11.38–$17.56. A Pioneer Valley maze known for an elaborate new cut design each year — 2026's is Maze TV — and games aimed at small children. It announced its dates overnight between our August 3 and August 4 checks. The price took another month, and only because its ticketing link quietly stopped being a 2025 one.

Sauchuk Farm, Plympton MA — September 19 to October 31. Corn maze and pumpkin patch at the farm's Fun Center site on Center Street. Tickets required.

Sherman Farm, East Conway NH — September 19 to October 25. Covered below; it published between two of our August checks.

Coppal House Farm, Lee NH — September 12 to October 31. Thursday through Monday, closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, $8–10, plus three Saturday night mazes at $12–15.

Six of the eight mazes we track now have a full 2026 calendar. In early August that number was two, and every one of the four that joined did so during a single month — which is the shape of this whole season.

The rest

Sherman Farm, East Conway NH. A White Mountains institution, new theme every year, repeatedly voted the state's best. Its 2026 calendar is now published: weekends from September 19 to October 25, 11am to 5pm, $15 per person rising to $18 on the peak weekends of October 3-4 and 10-12, age 2 and under free.

Connors Farm, Danvers MA. Hayrides, a large corn maze, apple and pumpkin picking, cider doughnuts, at 30 Valley Road. No 2026 dates published yet. Note the no street parking rule — use the farm's lot.

Danvers is also where the state hospital stood, on the hill named for the Salem witch trial judge, in the village where the 1692 accusations began. You can pick apples about ten minutes from it.

Why this is the value play

A New England corn maze runs roughly $10–$18 a head. Fright Kingdom is $41 online, $45 cash. Barrett's is $40 at the window.

For a family of four that is the difference between about sixty dollars and about a hundred and eighty — and the maze usually includes a pumpkin patch, a farm stand and doughnuts.

Corn mazes also solve the age problem the big haunts create. Most of the region's headline attractions are not for eight-year-olds, and several say so. A daytime maze is for everybody. Our family-friendly roundup covers the rest of that tier.

Practical notes

Go in the morning after rain. Maze trails are dirt between rows.

Check the difficulty. Sixty to ninety minutes is a long time to be lost with a five-year-old.

The scary version is a different ticket at a different time. Don't turn up at 7pm in October expecting the daytime experience.
